Arevipharma stands in the long tradition of API manufacturing in Saxon Radebeul. In 1874, Friedrich von Heyden laid the foundation stone for the world’s first industrial-scale production of synthetic APIs with the construction of his chemical factory. To this day, Arevipharma continues this now 150-year history, making it the world’s oldest API manufacturer!

An anniversary worth celebrating! On 22 June, our employees and their families and friends were invited to the big plant festival. With guided tours of production, laboratories and infrastructure facilities, a chemistry show, a visit to our plant fire brigade and an exhibition on the site’s history, we offered more than 600 guests young and old rare insights into the industrial facilities of a chemical production site.

In the evening, we then continued at the second event location for the Arevipharma summer party. With a delicious BBQ buffet, great cocktails and a colourful supporting programme ranging from beer pong to a caricaturist, we finally brought a wonderful, unforgettable day to a close—one that Friedrich von Heyden would surely have been proud of.
